I had the chance to experience Bijou’s Decadence Skyline when another wrap came by, and it truly lived up to its reputation.
This wrap is an absolute delight! Despite being a double weave, it’s incredibly easy to work with, requiring no break-in period at all. It arrived super soft and ready to go. The Decadence Skyline offers fantastic support—I managed to carry Tot (4 years old, 44 lbs) in a ruck without any issues. The double weave reminded me of memory foam, providing a wonderfully cushioned feel.
Decadence Skyline is exceptionally comfortable on the shoulders, making it ideal for carrying heavier babies and toddlers. The support is outstanding, with no digging in, and the slight stretch helps create perfectly molded passes. When Dumpling wanted to nurse, the carry wasn’t perfectly tidy, but it remained very comfortable.
This wrap is sturdy with a little bit of give, which will likely increase with more wear. Although the double weave is somewhat thick, it’s not cumbersome and only slightly warm—not uncomfortably so.
While Decadence Skyline can handle a decent workout, keep in mind that it’s mostly white. Being 100% cotton—both Egyptian and standard—it’s easy to care for, though I always recommend following the manufacturer’s instructions.
The texture of the wrap adds a nice grip, which might make sliding passes a bit challenging, but it’s great for locking them in place. You won’t need to constantly readjust. My knot was on the larger side, but I personally love that, and Dumpling was able to sit comfortably on it during a front wrap cross carry without needing a double knot. It stayed securely in place.
The wrap is soft and cozy, with one side feeling almost like flannel and the other more textured with a slight bumpiness. While it retained its shape during my time with it, I imagine it would become even floppier with more use.
I thoroughly enjoyed having Bijou Decadence Skyline with me for an extended period. I appreciate the opportunity to host wraps for a while to observe how they evolve. The diamond pattern and colors are exactly my style, and I’d highly recommend this wrap to anyone with a bigger child. Alternatively, finding a pre-loved, broken-in one would be perfect for a smaller baby.
